About Claire

Claire is a well known guitar/vocalist on the Sydney and South Coast circuit. Her music has taken her from Perth to the Great Sandy Desert, from the Alice to Townsville and even to Bali, where her band performed at the Bali Hyatt. Claire was also a founding member of the acclaimed Original Eureka Bush Band. She has performed at the Sydney Entertainment Centre with international act Peter, Paul and Mary, and for the previous Australian Prime Minister, Bob Hawke. She woos her audiences with her fine vocals and song-writing abilities everywhere she goes. After working on the Sydney and South Coast club circuit for many years, Claire has returned to her acoustic roots. She performs a variety of contemporary acoustic music, middle-of-the-road, Australiana, Irish and American folk and a smattering of country, playing music just for the love it, in the venues that she likes.

Claire now also performs with Jenna Hogan. Claire & Jenna have are called The Scarlett O'Haras and can be found around the Illawarra working at a variety of venues. Jenna has joined Claire in the Acoustic Women show along with Belinda Harkness. The show features music of women singer/songwriters of the 20th century.

Claire also specialises in teaching Australian Bush dancing to both adults and children and often works in duos and bands with other local musicians, playing contemporary and soft rock music.

Claire has recently taken up a full time position as venue manager for Wollongong Town Hall (from March 2011).
