The Fairy Meadow Demonstration
School
was 150
years old in 2008 and had some wonderful celebrations. The school sort
past students and teachers to come forward and be a part of the
festivities. They found the
oldest student and teacher.
The celebrations
were also be a major fund-raiser for the school. They displayed
memorabilia at the oped days and printed photos in 150th year book.
The celebrations
culminated in an open day on Friday 5 December and an open day and
dinner on Saturday 6 December at the Fraternity Club in Fairy Meadow.

About
the school
Established in 1858, the school motto is Learn to Live and has
close links with the University of Wollongong, as it is a demonstration school at which students from the University
come to take part in lessons as part of their teacher education
programs.
